Burkhardt-Löffler
In 2017, Burkhardt-Hensel Steinbearbeitungsmaschinen and Löffler Engineering + Service, two companies with rich traditions, merged to become Burkhardt-Löffler, marking yet another milestone in their shared history. This merger, which began in 2011 under the umbrella of the Dr. Baumann Group, created a powerful new unit with expertise and reliability that customers can rely on with confidence. We have placed a strong focus on maintaining our established network, cultivated over many years, to continue providing you with the highest level of service quality which you have come to expect.
Our Portfolio
Part of our strength lies in customized solutions: we develop and implement complete systems and individual machines for productive and economic stone processing – for natural and artificial stones as well as for cast stone and refractory materials. Our innovative automated systems for the industrial production of kitchen countertops, solid components and monuments have made us global technology leaders in our field.

Investment in the future
In 2018, Burkhardt-Löffler opened a new development and production center in Bayreuth, a center which extends more than 10,000 square meters. This new location will enable the future construction of complete production facilities, as well as even more intensive testing of customer-specific applications before delivery. The investment of more than 5 million Euro has laid the foundation for Burkhardt-Löffler's further growth. Together with the second center in Langenaltheim, which will continue to exist, Burkhardt-Löffler is now the largest German engineering company in the stone sector.

Our Philosophy
Burkhardt-Löffler is a reliable partner with a comprehensive portfolio of services in the area of stone working and plant design. We do more than just “sell machines.” As part of the Dr. Baumann Group, we offer our customers wide-ranging expertise, long-term support, and a full service package. We treat our customers as equal partners as we design individual holistic solutions for their needs. Our customers get the benefits of uncompromising quality over the entire life cycle of their machine.
Synergies
As a member of the Dr. Baumann Group, we benefit from the synergies of this union which enable us to guarantee short development and production times based on customer requirements. These synergies further allow us to benefit from the financial strength of the Group, with annual revenues of approximately 80 million euros, so we can maintain the long-term focus of our firm and finance future expansion. The Group has ten production sites within Germany in the field of machine manufacturing, steel construction, and metal fabrication with more than 400 employees working within a total plant space of 60,000 square meters (approximately 645,000 square feet). Our main goal is to achieve optimal solutions for our customers.
Meeting Future Needs
In all companies of our Group, our employees strive to achieve continuous innovation. To better exploit this advantage in Germany, we added an additional 10,000 square meters (approximately 110,000 square feet) to our capacities for a Research and Production Center for stone working in 2017, giving us the ability to further develop innovative automated machines for the stone industry.

Partnership with Weha
Burkhardt-Löffler has been partnering with full-range supplier Weha since 2020. Weha offers the entire range of tools and equipment for workshops and construction sites, which also includes the innovative transport equipment from Weha's own production (www.weha.com). In order to provide individual support to the many stonemasons and stone processors, the Weha customer advisors are regularly on site at the companies to keep them up-to-date with the latest information. When a machine is purchased, Weha establishes contact with Burkhardt-Löffler and we will take care of the further steps from advice to installation and subsequent service. This partnership between our two German companies creates simple and direct access to modern production and automation solutions, especially for small- and medium-sized processors.
